Duchess of Cambridge carried out fewer official engagements than any other royal
A hardworking royal has put the rest of her family to shame when it comes to attending official engagements in 2017.
Princess Anne outworked her nearest and dearest after she made a staggering 540 appearances this year.
Her busy itinerary included events, meals and receptions across the world, according to a report published in the Times.
The data was sourced by Tim O’Donovan, 85, who used stats from the court circular.
The ‘veteran royal watcher’ said: ‘She is always rushing around the country.
‘I’m just amazed when I look through the court circular at what she does in a day. The amount she crams in is extraordinary.’
Princess Anne was so active she attended more engagements than Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge combined.
Prince William had a total of 171 and Prince Harry completed 209.
Duchess of Cambridge only had 105 appearances in total, which was the lowest in her family, but she did become pregnant with her third child this year so she had to reduce her workload.
The head of the family did not shirk her responsibilities despite being 91 years old.
The Queen turned up to 296 engagements.
Mr O’Donovan did reveal the younger royals were doing more but they have some way to go if they want to catch up with the veterans.
