Yes friends, it actually happened.
Big Shaq’s viral song, which started as a joke and has now ended up at Number 6 in charts, was quoted by a Labour MP in the House of Commons.
Fiona Onasanya threw in a line from the song as MPs debated Chancellor Philip Hammond’s Budget statement on Tuesday afternoon.
She said: ‘There was no extra money in the Budget for the education system. This is not as simple as saying, ‘2 plus 2 is 4, minus 3 is 1 – quick maths.’

‘These announcements mean real-terms cuts and the potential continuation of the recruitment and retention crisis in our education system.’
Of course, the lyrics went over the heads of most of the Commons benches – not even a murmur in acknowledgement.
But luckily Twitter users spotted the reference and had only praise for the Labour MP.
‘You know things are serious when FionaOnasanyaMP quotes lyrics from #MansNotHot in the #Budget2017 debate,’ said one user.
The 33-year-old Peterborough MP retweeted the tweet with the caption ‘happy days’.
Big Shaq, whose real name is Michael Dappah, developed his alter ego in a YouTube mockumentary called Somewhere in London.
His rap Man’s Not Hot went viral after he performed it on Radio1Extra.
He then released a studio version last month due to its popularity and it has now stormed the charts.
Big Shaq recently told the BBC: ‘I’m a creative comedic entertainer who enjoys bringing good content to the world. I’m not Big Shaq – Shaq is his own person.’
